What Happened – The Hobbit Chapter 17
In Chapter 17 of The Hobbit, several key events occur. The chapter begins with Thorin Oakenshield and his company inside the Lonely Mountain. Thorin refuses to share the treasure with Bard and the Elvenking. Bard, who leads the people of Lake-town, demands a share of the treasure to help rebuild their homes.
