What Happened – The Hobbit Chapter 4
The group of travelers continued their journey through the Misty Mountains. They found a cave to rest in for the night. It seemed safe and warm. Suddenly, goblins captured them while they slept. The goblins took them deep into the mountain.
Gandalf, the wizard, escaped capture. He used magic to help the others break free. The group ran away from the goblins. During the escape, Bilbo Baggins, the hobbit, got separated from the others. He fell into a dark tunnel.
Meanwhile, the rest of the group managed to flee. They reached the other side of the mountain. They hoped Bilbo would find his way back to them. Bilbo found himself alone in the dark. He noticed a small ring on the ground and picked it up.
The goblins were angry about the escape. They searched the tunnels to find the group and bring them back. Bilbo had to be careful not to get caught. He wandered through the tunnels, trying to find a way out.
